Make Me Smile

Make Me Smile (registered charity no. 1061384) is a charity based at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital which was established a decade ago after a talented musician, Iain Fowler, sadly died from skin cancer at the age of 21.

Iain was a patient of Prof Devaraj's and became a friend.

Make Me Smile raises awareness of the dangers from sun exposure and the importance of prevention. For the past few years, Prof Devaraj has volunteered in the Make Me Smile tent at the Devon County Show (as seen in the photo), offering advice and free mole checks.

Since Make Me Smile began in 2000, the charity has raised £100,000 to buy essential equipment for the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital.
